The Way of the Householder
More Details Will Be Provided Closer to the Date
Our practice teaches us that life is open for us just as it is. When we experience this we feel a great sense of ease, joy and connectedness in the world. But usually based on our fears, we create artificial barriers that prevent us from realizing this. This retreat will focus, using the great koan Mu, to identify, and work through our artificial barriers, both internal and external which keep us from living our life fully, just as it is. Please join us for this wonderful opportunity.
In addition there will be a vow renewal ceremony on Saturday for those who have taken the precepts. All are welcome.
As part of this weekend you have the option to choose a particular home practice that helps you to integrate the work in the zendo with our actions in our life as householders. We hope you will join us.

The zazenkai includes both sitting and walking meditation, dharma talks, mindfulness practices and the opportunity for private interviews with a teacher.
At the conclusion of the Saturday zazenkai, we will be conducting a Vow Renewal Ceremony. Those who have studied the precepts and have received jukai either recently or any time in the past are invited to participate. This ceremony provides the opportunity to reaffirm the commitment to following the Bodhisattva Path, and look deeply into our lives to observe how we embody the precepts. All zazenkai participants are welcome to stay and bear witness.
NOTE: If you plan to attend on Saturday only, the cost is $10. Click HERE to pay $10 for Saturday only.
